Harvest, and planting for next year

Posted by on Oct 8, 2015

Well it’s about time for the bi-annual website update. Harvest is creeping along while the weather tries to figure out which season it is trying to portray. Things are ending up in bins and jars and storage crates for winter. Celebrations are at hand, and plans, like garlic, are best planted now for the year ahead.

Coming up on November 3rd, my buddy Megan Nash and I will be playing at the Burrowing Owl hall in Mossbank. These are really fantastic intimate concerts put on by a really fantastic fellow – Joel Mowchenko of the Bent Nail Cafe. There’s tasty things to eat and drink, and the music isn’t half-bad either!

If you’re one of those incredibly organized early Christmas shopper types (or more like me and kind of picking it up as you go along) and you’re not able to make it to the show in Mossbank, Johnnie Ninety-Nine CDS are NOW AVAILABLE FOR SALE at This & That Knick-Knacks (Main Street Gravelbourg, next to Cafe Paris). They have all kinds of beautiful handmade, homemade, and local gifts in there – could be your (and my) one-stop shop solution!

Mark your calendars for the second annual Songwriter’s Weekend at the Renaissance Gaiety Theatre in Gravelbourg. The usual suspects Richmond, Nichol & Nash will be joined by a special guest for the showcase on Friday April 8th.

The Berry Jam at Bouvier’s Berry Basket in Kincaid is also making a triumphant return on Saturday July 9th. We are already lining up some more great homegrown Saskatchewan talent to entertain you and to jam with!

That’s what’s cooking. More details coming soon!
